Tucker Wetmore is carving his own path in Country music, and fans are eager to follow. In 2024 alone, the Washington-born singer-songwriter has skyrocketed to prominence with two Billboard Hot 100 hits, *“Wine Into Whiskey”* and *“Wind Up Missin’ You,”* which have collectively garnered over 100 million Spotify streams. Recognized as Billboard’s May Country Rookie of the Month, Wetmore is poised to become one of the genre’s breakout stars, boasting nearly a quarter-billion career streams. “I knew they were special,” he says of his hit singles, “but I never imagined this kind of impact.”
This summer, Wetmore joined Luke Bryan’s FARM TOUR 2024 and signed a major-label deal with UMG Nashville and Back Blocks Music. His fiery single *“What Would You Do?”* and contributions to the *Twisters* soundtrack are just the start of what’s ahead. At 24, Wetmore’s songs blend classic Country storytelling with influences from reggae, rock, and hip-hop, reflecting his diverse musical upbringing.
Wetmore’s journey began after a football injury at age 19 forced him to reassess his life. Turning to music as his refuge, he moved to Nashville in 2020 with no industry connections but a determination to succeed. His tireless efforts, including hundreds of co-written songs, have solidified his place as one of Music City’s most promising young talents.
Known for his hard work and faith, Wetmore sees live performance as his true calling. “When I’m on stage, all my worries disappear,” he says. His goal for 2024 is clear: to release his debut project and play as many shows as possible. “Everything’s moving so fast,” Wetmore reflects. “I’m just grateful for every blessing and every chance to share my music with the world.”
